Our Course

The Rock River Country Club was built as a nine-hole course in 1913.

In 1967 land was purchased across Dixon Avenue to build the second nine which opened for play in 1968.

The most distinguishing part of the course is the transition from the front nine to the back. The older, front nine has small push-up style greens and short holes amid hundreds of old oak trees.

The back nine or newer nine is a little more open, longer, and features large, beautiful undulating greens.

Aesthetically, you would be hard pressed to find a prettier golf hole in NW Illinois than number #7. It is a short but challenging par-three that is bordered by the Rock River.

Do not be fooled by the relatively short yardage that makes up the golf course. It is an extremely challenging par 70 golf course.
